Disturbance in the Force Art Show

We had an awesome time at Hektattoo‘s Disturbance in the Force art show in Huntington Beach.  We had a reserved spot right in front of the gallery that had an assortment of Star Wars related artwork.

Respectthefett standing guard when he had time to spare between his frequent photo requests from fans.

As the sun set they started up the projector and screened A New Hope in the parking lot while the Kogi BBQ truck served some awesome food.

We didn’t see the tumbler roll up. Maybe he took the Bat to the show.
Marcus and Tyler provided color commentary for the lightsaber battle.

Many a Force FX lightsaber died during the lightsaber battles.

In the end it was a rather awesome night of great food, art and of course, Star Wars.

Boba Fett x Pizza Planet Part Two!

Previously on Boba Fett x Pizza Planet, our intrepid duo scared a few people who were out late at the pump one night.  Now, they’re back and this time they’ll have a pizza!  We hope to see a few of you there!

….

We are currently rounding the final turn when it comes to going through the footage from the trip.  The “Potential Soundtrack” playlist has been assembled and we’ll be playing that on a loop for inspiration.

We’re continuing testing designs for the Mega Gulp cup as well as the Nova Burger box (which Shigeru corrected the spelling on and sent over as soon as we posted). Photo updates to come.

Odds and Ends

Over the past few weeks we’ve been importing and double checking footage from before, during and after the trip, as well as taking a few short trips here and there.  Here’s what we’ve been up to.  Above we have a few more pictures from our “Late Night at a Gas Station” photo shoot.  Robert Staeck performed a bit of photoshop magic to authentically dirty up the truck (and a few more details for the sharp eyed reader)

Shortly after we returned from Emeryville we drove out to Victorville to visit the leaders of tomorrow (as we like to call them).  Both classes were pretty excited to check out the truck, which was parked on the quad during their lunch.

A legofied version of our Boba Fett photoshoot sent over by Byron Corpuz.

A few days ago we had a mini crew reunion for an interview with the Animation Fascination Podcast.  After that we reminisced about the trip while reviewing our copious amounts of footage.

Whit and Whimsy

Today we met up with Whit Anderson of Distracted By Star Wars (DBSW) while he’s on his cross country road trip to experience Star Tours on both coasts.  Over a pub burger, a patty melt and some Blue Moons we discussed Disneyland, Star Wars, road trip destinations as well as plans for both of our projects.  Swing by his twitter for updates on his cross country quest and send some support his way

After dinner Jake stopped by to discuss some design solutions that have arisen over the past few days.  Plastic molding, rush shipping, t-shirt design and LED bike lights were covered during our brainstorming.  Depending on our schedules this week we may seem some, if not all, of these plans come to fruition.
